I have a budding passion for plants. From having a vegetable garden, I now want to venture into having them as decorative pieces. By learning different ways in growing them I can enhance my knowledge and skills. Who knows I can start up a nursery business of my own. To start with my new project I bought a couple of outdoor planters and indoor planters. I am used to having a big lot for gardening so I have to familiarize myself with this method first through having a small sized planter then eventually I can expand into having bigger one.

Whether we are using basil or a flowering shrub there are key things that we should do in order to have a healthy sow .As a general rule, plants need water and sunlight to live however there are different conditions. When using small sized planters we can move them around so that they can be exposed to the sun which makes it more convenient. You should also consider the material used since some dries more quickly while others holds water well. Though container gardens are fun to create we should also be mindful of their necessities too.

Compared to other types of garden it might not look as great but a vegetable garden has a lot of advantages. Since I am inclined to cooking, I had an idea of growing my own vegetables. When they are already ripe I can just harvest instead of buying which will be cheaper. I can cut up with my grocery expenses. At least I can be assured that my food is fresh.  It is also a great activity for the whole family.

The backyard is the perfect spot for my vegetable garden, it has rich soil and the sun is directly hitting it, in addition there is accessible water supply near it. Since I am just a beginner, I plan to have a small garden and to plant those which are easy to grow like to tomatoes, lettuce, squash, carrots, beans, beets, radishes, potatoes and broccoli. Hopefully I can keep up with the watering and weeding so eventually I can reap all the fruits of my labor
